InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is one of those renowned names in the hospitality sector of the world that does not require any formal introduction. The group is operating more than 150 hotels and resorts in over 50 countries all across the globe. Among its soon to be opened 67 new projects, one is of London.

InterContinental Group, for its new hotel in London, has signed a 20 year management contract with Splendid Hotel Group, which is an existing IHG franchise with Holiday Inn Hotels in Manchester and London. The new property named, “InterContinental London Westminster,” is a six storey hotel that features around 254 luxurious guestrooms. Located in the heart of the city, the new property will be established on the site of former Queen Anne’s Chambers, which was originally built in the 19th century. This soon to be opened London hotel will cover an area of over than 100,000 square foot and will lie close to New Scotland Yard.

As the London 2012 Olympic Games is knocking on the door of the capital, InterContinental London Westminster will truly be a real gift for the tourists, as well as with this addition, the already existing list of London hotels will reach one more step further.
