Run down and shabby hotel with shoe-box size rooms. Exceptionally poor value for money

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on 5th March 2007. On checking-in, the person on reception (who could barely speak English) charged me for two nights. This took him four attempts and whilst he assured me that the all of these transcations had been cancelled, I was over-charged by £312. Despite daily telephone calls to thte inept accounts department, four weeks later I am still waiting for a refund. My advice - if you do stay here, pay cash.

Asked twice for iron none arrived, heating broken in room, light broken in room, luke warm shower and disinterested front desk staff. great location but will not use again.

All the above were excellent BUT we specifically asked for a non-smoking room, and were assured that it was a non-smoking floor, only to find that the room smelt very strongly of smoke. Rather than move us, they only sent up the housekeeper to spray the room with Fresh, which wasnt very effective. As a result my overall rating is less than it otherwise would have been

Comfortable room, bathroom fine, clean and tidy. Restaurant very small and menu uninspiring but several excellent restaurants very near.

A small hotel in an unbeatable location. Prices excellent value with this in mind. Cozy bar, good room service...the only down side tepid hot water.

Would not use this hotel again. We had booked two rooms, when we arrived they had only one room booked for us and not a twin room as I had booked.

Rooms compact but very clean although our heating wasnt working and the wate was tepid - not warm enough for a shower. Therefore had to change rooms. All ok thereafter but they really do need to something about the water. It was never very hot even after we changed rooms.

Booked hotel at short notice, excellent location in Mayfair, very reasonable price (£88 per room including full breakfast) in 4 star hotel. Breakfast area a little small, wasnt a problem for us as we got down for breakfast early but could imagine it to be a bit of a problem during busy times. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay there again.

Rooms are small.I booked a deluxe room but on arrival was told all deluge rooms had gone. Staff were curt to the point of rudeness.After leaving I found they had charged me for 3 nights when I only stayed for 2.Nice towels.

Quiet location within walking disctance of west end theatres. Al staff (including reception)were helpful and efficient. Breakfast room is rather small - but breakfast (buffet style) is excellent.

The hotel was well located and all was well with room, typical london size small, but receptionist on first day very unhelpful, told us only one room available when two booked, even with booking printout. Didnt seem at all bothered to help. We contacted discount and they called and sorted it out. Breakfast ok and recptionist on the following day fine. Overall ok but first receptionist needs extra customer service training.

Superb location. When I booked a single room, I didnt know that that was exactly what I would get - single bed in a very small room. However, everything else was good, and value for money excellent.
