Villa Pantheon was well located for many of the citys main attractions - the Pantheon, Notre Dame and only 30 - 40 minute walk along the Seine from the Eifel Tower. The hotel is also within 10 - 15 minutes walk of literally hundreds of cafes and restaurants. Staff at the hotel were unfailingly polite and friendly. The place had a good "feel" to it.

Four star it definitely is not. Very dark rooms, no overhead light, very dirty, extremely hot and not to mention the dungeon like breakfast room. The staff totally unhelpful, not helping with bags at any stage at all. A horrible experience. The only good thing was an OK location, and thankfuly --Paris is great!

We were impressed with our rooms decor even though we had hauled our own luggage to it. The room TV guide boasted BBC but we never could get it. Breakfasts in the sauna-like dining room were chaotic with various foods running out - we had four breakfasts there and it was the same every day. The bar was run by a young and charming man and the hotel was blessed with an excellent front of house gentleman with a magnificent grey moustache, who was very helpful.

The standard rooms at 230euros per night are very small. Breakfast is included but as Continental Breakfast is disappointing. The senior front desk man sees customers as a problem. The other fron desk people are more corteous but not exactly ready to help.

Small rooms, as with many large city Hotels, but the price for this hotel is out of synch with the level of services and ammenities.
